This blog isn’t about the unprovoked and continuing barbaric attack of Putin on the Ukraine. It’s not about his wanton murder of women and children. This is about what’s happening on our home front.
Governors Gavin Newsom (CA), Kate Brown (OR) and Jay Inslee (WA) have signed a letter urging states to enact laws to protect and defend the reproductive health laws. What an appalling oxymoron. “Reproductive health” means killing unborn children. “California stands proud” and intends to expand “family planning” and education to defend every American’s right to reproductive freedom without consent from or involvement of parent, guardian, spouse, or biological parent (father) of the “fetus” (child).
The letter and a report from the Future of Abortion Council are all cloaked in compassionate language. “Young women” (elementary school age), “people with uteruses” need not worry about “unnecessary delay”. There will be complete “privacy” (secrecy). California can even arrange funds to pay for an abortion. If you live in a pro-life state, Governor Newsom is hard at work to make sure your way is paid to come to California and return home after an abortion. The procedure may not be performed by a doctor. The FOAC is pushing for “any qualified” Medi-Cal provider to perform an abortion — clinician, nurse practitioner, midwife, physicians’ assistants. But if anything goes wrong? Sorry. Newsom, Brown, and Inslee intend to strengthen legal protections for abortion patients, providers, and supporting organizations and individual.
This is all a matter of “choice,” though some are being stripped of theirs. If the FOAC has its way, primary care graduate medical education programs (including physicians, nurses, midwives, assistants) will be required to provide training in abortion “care” and “miscarriage management” — all to make certain there are enough abortionists to provide “services” for what these governors hope will be a flood of westering women from the 26 states that are pro-life. Don’t be fooled! This is big business with a slush fund of taxpayers’ money easily increased by legislation. Without coverage, the patient “would have to pay hundreds, possibly thousands of out-of-pocket dollars for an abortion”. FOAC and these governors want the taxpayers to foot the bill. FOAC has plans for a “bundled payment code without mandating the provision for any unnecessary ultrasounds, specified testing, or follow-up visit”. Ultrasounds allow the mother to hear her child’s heartbeat. (The ninety-five percent who do have an ultrasound decide against abortion.) Follow-up visits might refer to the trauma and pain of an abortion – add emotional trauma, especially after a patient has been assured of a simple, emotionless, painless procedure without any ramifications.
The FOAC intends to “assess gaps in abortion access” and to assure patients can access the full spectrum of health care (abortion) – thus taking away the rights of those who, for religious and matter-of -conscience reasons, are unwilling to take the life of an unborn child. Catholic hospitals and pregnancy counseling clinics will be under litigious attack in a concerted effort to force them out of business for “disinformation” (aka: telling the truth). Long ago, abortion clinics succeeded in making it legal to withhold facts from patients – such as the true development of a human being from conception to birth, such as what a procedure does to the human body and the unborn child, such as the PTSD that can come after an “easy procedure”.
There are many more appalling plans in this FOAC document. Please look it up and read it for yourself – especially if you have school-aged children. The Supreme Court has made no decision regarding Roe vs Wade, yet the FOAC is racing to promote and expand abortion. Governor Newsom intends California to become a model for all the other states to follow. Governors Brown and Inslee and members of the FOAC are onboard, proud of their efforts. They see nothing wrong in lying to patients about the science of human life growing in the womb, nothing wrong in using grade, middle and high schools for indoctrination for “choice”, nothing wrong in attempting to silence the voices of those who understand life is sacred, nothing wrong in attempting to shut down all alternatives that can save an unborn human being. Right now, in America, an unborn child’s life isn’t safe until birth and that first breath.
There are six things God hates – no, seven He detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family. Putin fulfills all of those, but he is an amateur when it comes to the holocaust in our own nation.
