Guilt By Association

A friend shared a story of buying a nice used car and being pulled over by the police several times.  She wasn’t speeding.  All her lights were in working order.  They pulled her over because the previous owner was a well-known, documented drug dealer.  Or course, once they realized the new owner had no history of crime, they wished her well.

Needless to say, it was a surprise to find herself guilty by association because of a car, even though the situation was quickly resolved and with some laughter.

How many times do people attach guilt to others for no other reason other than what neighborhood they live in, what political party they advocate, what church they attend, or what color their skin? It’s even become politically correct to cast blame and shame one group for sins committed by some from previous generations.

There’s one book that shows where the trouble started and how to live in a way that brings peace and fellowship between people.

There is no race mentioned in the Bible.  In God, the Creator’s eyes, we are all ONE race – the human race.  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  (Galatians 3:28)

Jesus brings down all the barriers that divide us.  In Him and through Him, we can live in peace.
