Bud Break

A few weeks ago, green spikes shot up from the ground with cylindrical pale-yellow tubes that soon opened into daffodils.  I planted over a hundred bulbs last year and they all started rising and opening like glorious little trumpets around our yard.  A few days before Easter, the apple and pear trees budded.  Then “bud break” happened in the vineyard.  Tiny pinkish green pearls appeared on the cordons.  By Easter, those little pearls had opened and spread perfect little grape leaves.  What looked dead a few weeks earlier showed vigorous new life.

I know I’ve said this before, but sometimes I feel like shouting it from the roof tops.  Look and listen to the magnificent show God puts on every, single day! The life of Jesus Christ is reenacted every year in every season.  Nature proclaims the truth for all to see.

When I walk around my yard and see those yellow trumpets, I praise God.  I see the buds and blossoms and thank Him for the new life Jesus has given me by His death on the cross.  Death could not hold Him.  He is alive!  And I am His child.  How awesome is that?!

We celebrate Easter on a single, special Sunday, but what happened on that day is too big for one day of celebration.  The moment Jesus rose and walked out of the tomb, He changed history.  He proved He was I AM and offered all mankind a gift.  Believe and become a new creation with life eternal.  Walk with Jesus and live a life abundant no matter what your circumstances.

Who do you say He is?  He said and I believe He is the way, the truth, and the life.  He is the only way to the Father who created me and you.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

May Jesus’ resurrection fill your heart, mind, and soul throughout the year.
