Sound
God gave us five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.
I am hearing all the time: bird songs, Sarge (our dog) panting/barking, Rick speaking, the telephone ringing, the wind chimes outside my window, cars coming up the road, a garbage truck picking up trash cans, the distant hum of freeway traffic. Sometimes I hear ringing in my ears. If I press my palms over my ears, I can hear my pulse; if I take a deep breath, I hear the air filling my lungs.
Cymatics is the study of visible sound and vibrations. I watched half a dozen interest demonstrations on sound making geometrical shapes, and the higher the frequency of sound, the more complex the shapes.
It got me thinking about God’s Voice. He spoke the world into being. He said, “Let there be light” and there was light. God’s Voice is the creative power that made the universe and everything in it.
It’s pretty amazing what sound can do, especially when breathed out of the mouth of God.
